Written Comprehensive Exam (P/F)
The comprehensive exam is administered after all coursework is complete. The exam is designed for students to demonstrate mastery of health professions education knowledge and skills, research methods, and the theoretical underpinning of HPED research. The comprehensive is a written exam that assesses student understanding of key concepts in Health Professions Education. For students who are progressing on a 2-course per semester basis, this online one-day proctored exam occurs at the end of the fall of the third year in the PhD program. Student responses will be reviewed and voted upon by a committee of at least three doctoral-level faculty members. The student will be informed of the pass/fail status. Students may progress to
