CFS 20000 Directing for the Screen

The purpose and function of the director in film as an artist and an integral component of the film industry as a business. The study of the technical aspects of directing for film from conceptual storyboarding and design to production and premiere. Examination of the works of various directors in the field will be conducted as well as critical analysis of the works in relation to the student’s own application of learned skills. The course culminates with each student directing and producing a short film for public viewing.
