NUR 11500 LPN Pathway to RN

In preparation for Licensed Practical Nurses’ entry into the Associate Degree Nursing Program, students will study the Nursing Process and professional issues. The RCC Nursing Program’s conceptual framework, the 7 Basic Human Needs, will be examined focusing on patient assessment with an emphasis on older adults. The concepts of patient-centered care, safety, teamwork and collaboration, communication, delegation, evidence-based practice, management, informatics and quality improvement will be examined. Basic nursing skills will be reviewed.
