MAT 12600 Statistics - Honors
This course acquaints students with collection and analysis of quantitative data through measures of central tendency, measure of variation and probability and the role of statistics in today's world. Topics include descriptive statistics, probability, distributions, sampling, confidence intervals, hypotheses testing, and correlation and regression. Emphasis will be placed on practical selection and use of statistical methods in real world situations showing understanding of the complete data analysis cycle.
