FIR 111 Fire Hazard Properties of Materials

This course will introduce the student to various chemical and physical properties; solid, liquid, and Reactivity and health hazards will also be examined and emphasized. Basic chemistry and chemical terminology including chemical nomenclature will be introduced along with identification systems for hazardous materials, transportation practices, storage practices and fire control strategies for materials and substances that a student may encounter throughout their career.
