ENG 103 College Writing I Honors

This honors course is the first part of a one-year writing sequence emphasizing the creation of research-based arguments written in clear, thoughtful prose. Students will develop strong critical reading skills in response to challenging, non-fiction texts. They will learn to seek out, use, and properly document scholarly sources in the process of staking out their own positions on topics ranging from philosophical and ethical questions to contemporary debates. Seven or more writing assignments are required.

Placement into ENG 103 and acceptance into the Sam Draper Honors Program
