Financial Aid
In the 2016/17 academic year nearly 3,500 Rockland Community College students received more than $16 million in financial assistance to help them meet the cost of higher education. Since many students are eligible for some kind of financial aid, all students are encouraged to apply. Funds are generally available to those who can demonstrate financial need.
Financial Aid assists students and families to complete applications for federal, state and local financial aid programs and subsequently awards aid to all eligible applicants. Free personal financial aid counseling and technical assistance are available on a walk-in basis.
The Office also has a FAFSA mini-lab where students can complete their financial aid applications online. Helpful technical guidance is provided so that the application process can be easy and error-free.
Federal and State School Codes
The College’s federal school code that must be entered on the FAFSA is 002877. The New York State school code that must be entered on the TAP application is 2147.
