CRJ 103 Juvenile Justice System

The objective of this course is to offer an overview of juvenile delinquency and its impact on society. An interdisciplinary approach is used to analyze the causes of delinquency and the treatment of juvenile offenders. It explores the philosophy and role of the three main components of the Criminal Justice System: Police, Courts and Corrections and how different their approach is when dealing with juveniles as opposed to adults. This is a course within the Criminal Justice curriculum.
