CHM 103 Inorganic Chemistry I Honors

A first-semester Honors lecture and laboratory course for students with a background in science. Topics include: study of matter, measurements, nomenclature, the mole, stoichiometry, the periodic table, chemical reactions, quantum mechanical atom, thermochemistry, chemical bonds and structures, and gases. Emphasis placed on application of concepts to laboratory techniques, experimentation, analysis of observations, and formation of data driven conclusions. Analysis of primary scientific literature conducted.
