Volunteer Service Program
The Volunteer Service program is designed to provide experiential learning opportunities for RCC students. By volunteering within the local community, students are provided with an opportunity to develop a sense of social awareness and an understanding of life, work and responsible citizenship in a diverse and changing world. Students who achieve a minimum of 42 hours of volunteer service, throughout their stay at RCC, are rewarded with:
- transcript recognition
- Certificate of Achievement
- experiential learning
- public recognition in the commencement booklet at the time of graduation
- the opportunity to audit one 3-credit class after graduation
- the positive feeling knowing that you have made a difference
To find out how you can make a difference and to find your volunteer opportunity, please contact the Coordinator of Volunteer Services at 845-574-4394 or stop by Student Involvement, Student Union.
