PHL 206 Philosophical Perspectives on the Meaning of Life
Is there a meaning to life to be discovered or does meaning have to be created by each individual? Is there any wisdom to be discovered from the many attempts of people to answer these questions throughout history? This course will explore a variety of perspectives in the art of living well that have been offered by philosophers from different time periods and from different cultures. Students will explore how these philosophers attempted to live their philosophies and will evaluate them in terms of our own experience today.
