MUS 143 Jazz Workshop

This workshop course gives instrumentalists and vocalists an introduction to jazz through the use of theoretical improvisational techniques. Class time is divided between learning applicable music theory and ensemble playing. Classic jazz repertoire is studied in a classroom setting with a rehearsal atmosphere as the workshop prepares for an end-of-semester performance.
