ART 126 History of Art II Honors
ART 126 is a chronological survey of the history of Western art from the Renaissance to the present. Students will investigate major works of painting, sculpture and architecture, and other new media, produced by Western cultures during this time span. The course will emphasize understanding art as a reflection of distinctive social, political, religious and economic issues of their creators and their times. Designed for Honors students, this course will be taught at an accelerated pace and requires completion of a research paper.
