17.10 Bid Policy

General

All purchase requisitions for material, equipment and service purchases with an aggregate value of $2,500 or more are required to obtain three (3) competitively bids ($500 or more for printing and other graphic arts services). Exceptions to this requirement are items covered under pricing agreements already in place. However, the Vice President for Finance and Operations may require more than one bid for purchases with an aggregate value of less than $2,500 if in his/her judgment cost savings may be realized or other University objectives accomplished. Bid Policy guidelines may be obtained from the Business Office.
