C. Academic Cabinet

The Academic Cabinet is a decision-making and strategic-planning body composed of curricular and co-curricular campus leaders. Members include the provost (chair), chair of the Faculty Senate, one representative from the faculty senate officers, one academic director selected by the faculty senate, associate provosts, deans of the schools, directors of graduate programs, dean of students, director of academic support and retention, and registrar. The Academic Cabinet generally meets on the third Wednesday of every month and reviews new program proposals, which come from the Curriculum Committee, and academic policy recommendations, which generally come from the Office of the Registrar. The Academic Cabinet also reviews information presented by the Assessment Committee and uses it for strategic planning.
