PSY 4493 Field Practicum in Psychology
Requires 300 hours of counseling agency experience. Student must compile a portfolio containing a journal of daily work experiences, description of the agency (including its services and the training it provides), journal articles and critical book reviews reflecting 1,000 pages of reading on a topic approved by the adviser, an original paper on the student's readings and practicum experience, and an evaluation of the practicum experience by the adviser and the student. PR: Senior status or departmental approval required, and completion of 20 hours of major core.
