Biology, Associate of Science

The Associate of Science degree in Biology is granted by Presentation College to those candidates who have completed the 63-credit requirement as described in the curriculum plan and earned a 2.00 grade point average or above in all biology major courses. Graduates of the Associate of Biology program may use these courses to fulfill prerequisites in a variety of graduate programs, including chiropractic medicine, mortuary science, physician's assisting, physical therapy, occupational therapy, medicine, optometry, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or other professional areas may usually meet the professional schools' entrance requirements while completing a biology degree. All pre-professional students must determine the specific requirements of the school(s) they wish to attend, and they should work closely with an advisor at Presentation College to develop a plan of study. In addition, graduates of the Biology Associate of Science can seek immediate workplace placement in such areas as medical research, pharmaceutical sales, ethanol development, or a number of other employment opportunities.
