CRJU 3500 Race and Policing in America
This course will examine the intersection of race, ethnicity, and crime in America. The relationship between American police and members of minority populations will be evaluated, focusing predominately on the 21st century with references to more historical cases as well. Also addressed will be the courts and corrections interaction with and handling of minorities. Further, the course will assess how race, ethnicity, and crime intersect for the juvenile offender.
