Certificate in Relaxation Massage
Curriculum Overview
The Relaxation Massage Certificate prepares graduates to work effectively in a variety of settings including spas, salons, private practice and franchises. Emphasis is placed on full-body relaxation techniques, which promote a client's health and well-being. Courses explore topics across a range of subjects including science, ethics, professionalism, and relaxation techniques. Clinical rotations provide the opportunity to practice techniques on real clients.
Graduation Requirements
The Certificate in Relaxation Massage Therapy is granted to those candidates who have:
- Completed the required curriculum;
- Completed the required 25 total credits;
- Demonstrated competency in clinic and completed internship and field experience requirements;
- Successfully passed the written Comprehensive Exam;
- Earned a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or better;
- Fulfilled all financial obligations to the University;
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
