SRG203 Surgical Procedures Skills Lab
The laboratory component of the Surgical Technology program is used to integrate the knowledge and skills from the didactic portion of the program. This course provides the student with the opportunity to practice surgical procedures in a practical setting utilizing aseptic technique.

- The learner will demonstrate competency in the first scrub role by effectively performing required duties and responsibilities during mock surgical procedures, including adherence to aseptic and safety standards.
- The learner will demonstrate competency in the second scrub role by effectively performing required duties and responsibilities during mock surgical procedures, including adherence to aseptic and safety standards.
- The learner will demonstrate competency in the role of the assistant circulator by effectively performing required duties and responsibilities during mock surgical procedures, including adherence to aseptic and safety standards.
- The student will demonstrate professional behavior expected in the surgical setting by adhering to ethical standards, maintaining effective communication and teamwork, displaying accountability and respect, and following program policies and procedures at all times.
