FNS201 Theory of Embalming I
This course is a study of the process of chemically treating the dead human body to reduce the presence and growth of microorganisms, to temporarily inhibit organic decomposition, and to restore an acceptable physical appearance. The subject includes the study of the phenomenon of death in the human body, government regulations applicable to the embalming process, embalming analysis and reports, and instrumentation. Fulfills open elective.
