DRG101 Substance Abuse and Society

A sociological interpretation of the individual and groups in American society with respect to substance abuse and addiction. Emphasis is placed on prevailing attitudes and definitions and the impact of substance abuse upon professionals, women, minorities, and children. The role of the criminal justice system in substance abuse is introduced.
