PLS104 State and Local Government in America
The study of the structure, process and policies of state and local government, with a focus on the Massachusetts political system. Emphasis is placed on the policies and problems of state and local government and their relationship to the federal government. Special attention is given to direct participation in the political process in addition to the study of public policies on issues such as spending and taxation, crime, education, housing, and welfare.
