MAT110 Mathematics Literacy
This course is designed to develop mathematics literacy skills that are required in non-STEM pathways. Topics include solving relevant real world problems using equations, graphs, proportions, algebraic concepts, finance, and linear functions. Use of technology is integrated throughout the course. Successful completion of this course with a grade of C or better satisfies math prerequisites for MAT 14X courses. Does not fulfill college level math elective (MAT 140 or higher).
Prerequisite
Mathematics proficiency (CARR score of 56 or higher) and CEAR score of less than 54 or MAT 050 with a C or better and completion of Communication Skills Level 1 or placement into Communication Skills Level 2 or higher (CRDR of 56 or higher) or a B- or better in ESL Advanced 2.
