FFL101 Being Mindful: Strategies for Successful Students
The course will define mindfulness and explore its historical context, tracing it back to its Buddhist roots. The course is mostly one of practical application: students will explore breathwork, yoga and diverse types of meditation during guided practice in class. Finally, students will learn how to establish their own regular meditation practice and how to incorporate mindfulness into everyday life. There will be various texts and videos included as part of the course, and current research articles highlighting the growing significance of mindfulness in educational and professional settings.
