SOC206 Social Problems in a Globalized World
This course explores some of the most challenging national and world social issues facing the United States and the globe. The course focuses on the interconnections of global issues with a local and national impact. The course examines the social problems associated with the impacts of climate change, population and emigration; terrorism and security; drug trafficking and human trafficking among other topics. The course uses sociological perspectives and critical thinking to analyze the causes, consequences and possible solutions to social problems.
