EUT108 Energy Industry Practicum/Internship
This course will introduce the student to the training labs of a major power generation company (National Grid). Students will work in a facility learning how to splice wires, connect fuses and transformers and learn the industry standard techniques. Students will become familiar and learn the safe use of the tools and equipments used in the power industry. This course is conducted in two locations and topics include: splicing, meters, underground, overhead lines, transformers, substation, circuit breakers, and regulators. (2 hours lecture, 2 hours lab per week)
