BIO150 Introduction to Bird Biology
This course covers the basics of bird biology including anatomy, behavioral patterns and ecology with emphasis on the birds of North America, particularly the North Shore. The field trips emphasize bird identification and basic observation and identification techniques. They also present an opportunity to observe local birds in their natural habitats. Several field trips may require up to a mile of walking over mostly gently terrain. All walking will be slow paced. Fulfills open and liberal arts electives.
