HUM 250 American and Global Citizenship

This course is a study of the history, conceptualization and debates over national and global citizenship primarily in the United States. The class will investigate concepts of effective citizenship in debates over the Constitution, the struggles over the recognition of women, non-whites and recent immigrants as citizens over the course of American history, and recent developments in multicultural and global citizenship. This class satisfies the SBS I requirement for general education.
