SOC.3100 Climate Change and Society

This seminar examines the social causes and consequences of climate change through the analytic tools provided by environmental sociologists. The course will explore the social, economic, political, and ethical aspects of climate change, including how societies understand and respond to climate change. We will focus on understanding the phenomenon of climate change, its structural causes and effects, people's varying views on climate change, climate change denial, and climate change activism.
