PHY 2007 Introduction to Meteorology
This course will focus on the scientific methodology and prediction of weather and its effect on the global climate. Topics covered will include the atmosphere, storms, the greenhouse effect, heat, radiation, air pollution, climate, climate change, and the butterfly effect. The areas of study within the course will consider the latest "state of the art" framework for understanding the implication of Earth systems to life on the planet. Topics will be presented with an emphasis on the application of learned knowledge to real life experiences, including career and leisure activities.
