HOLC 3036 The Holocaust in Film

One of the most effective ways in which the memory of the Holocaust has been kept alive has been through its portrayal on film. One might argue that a whole genre of film has emerged, devoted to the examination and remembrance of the Holocaust, from Alan Resnais's early documentary, Night and Fog, to Steven Spielberg's commercial feature, Schindler146s List. This course will study the evolution of that genre and the changing nature of the Holocaust146s portrayal. Research paper.
