Computer Science Field of Study Curriculum
Requirements
Laredo College's Math, Science, and Computer Technology departments jointly offer courses comprising the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board’s (THECB) Computer Science Field of Study. The courses are intended for students pursuing a baccalaureate degree in Computer Science or related areas in engineering.
The field of study consists of the following courses:
PHYS 2325 + PHYS 2125 Lab if needed
PHYS 2326 + PHYS 2126 Lab if needed
Note: It is recommended that students complete the math, physics, and programming course sequences at the same institution to reduce the likelihood of potential gaps in the curriculum.
The Computer Science Field of Study is embedded in an Associate of Science degree. To obtain the degree, students are advised to complete the LCC core and the entire Computer Science Field of Study. For additional information concerning the field of study or transferability, please consult with advisors from the Computer Technology Department.
