RNSG 2307 Adaption to Role of Professional Nurse CAPSTONE

Selected concepts related to the role of the professional nurse as a provider of patient-centered care, patient safety advocate, member of health care team, and member of the profession. Review of trends and issues impacting nursing and health care today and in the future. Content includes knowledge, judgment, skill, and professional values within a legal/ethical framework.

BIOL 2320 & BIOL 2120, RNSG 1412, RNSG 1201, RNSG 2213, RNSG 2162, and RNSG 2261. Concurrent with RNSG 2331 and RNSG 2363. Prior or concurrent with 3-hours Humanities/Visual & Performing Arts.

End-of-Course Outcomes

Analyze self-practice in relation to the roles of the professional nurse; use critical thinking and a systematic problem-solving process for providing comprehensive care; examine factors impacting nursing and healthcare; analyze behaviors and attitudes of the nurse that facilitate adaptation to a changing environment.
