BLA 3291 INTERNSHIP IN LIBERAL ARTS
Students will gain work experience and training outside of the classroom setting in a Liberal Arts discipline. Under the dual supervision of an Instructor and an appropriate mentor at an internship site, students will have an opportunity to integrate classroom learning with work-related experiences that will help prepare them for careers in the filled of Liberal Arts. Through the academic program, students will identify possible internship opportunities, obtain approval for course registration, and with the course Instructor, obtain an internship sponsor commitment. Internships are negotiated between the academic program and the supervisor within the host organization. Internships may include, observations, meetings, administration, research, strategic planning, project development, data analysis, report writing, etc. A record of the internship will be entered into College Central. May be repeated for credit, up to a total of 6 credits if eligible and internship is available.
