DPT 6030 PHARMACOLOGY
This course will provide foundational aspects of clinical pharmacology as they pertain to those in allied health professions. Content will include basic pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamics principles to prepare students with a solid foundation for practice, as a member of a health care team. This course will also utilize a systemic approach to common pharmacologic interventions, and scenarios typically encountered in various inpatient and outpatient settings during rehabilitation. A strong emphasis will be placed on the clinical application of basic principles for understanding of the effects of various types of drugs on patients, especially during the management of a patient care plan.
