edTPA Portfolio Assessment.

Declaration Requirements:
Students must complete the following requirements to become declared:
- A cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better;
- A minimum grade of “B-“ in ENG 1030: Composition;A minimum grade of “B-“ in MATH 1000: College Algebra;
- A minimum grade of “B-“ in ID 2052: Human Exceptionality;
- A minimum grade of “B-“ in COMM 1402;
- Satisfactory completion (with a grade of B- or better) of EMSE 2800 (Clinical Experience), or in the case of transfer students, an equivalent experience; and SPED 2200;
- Achieve a passing score on Praxis I Core;
- A minimum of 60 credits.
Graduation Requirements:
Students must have completed all degree program requirements, obtained a 3.0 GPA or higher, and have passing scores for the Praxis I and II exams.
Program Descriptions:
Students enrolled in the Elementary Education K-6 TSD program gain the knowledge, skills and values necessary to effectively teach children in a multicultural, inclusive school environment. Students in this program must also choose an academic content area or second major in English, Mathematics, History, Spanish or the Sciences.
Through coursework and experience, future educators learn to expand and inspire young minds and contribute to the growth and development of the next generation of leaders. In this program, students also earn an endorsement and valuable insight into teaching students with disabilities that will set them apart from the competition in the job market.
