Course Number: PSYD 7421 Semester Hour: 3 Prerequisite: Matriculated in PsyD Program Limitation on Enrollment: 12 Type of course: Doctoral Level: Required for students in the PSYD school Clinical Psychology program Course Catalog Description: This course offers an exploration of the major diagnostic categories and specific psychological disorders affecting adults, with an emphasis on epidemiological factors, etiology, symptomatology, maintaining factors, pathological processes, and treatment. Additional attention will be given to differential diagnosis and comorbidities among disorders. Students will become proficient in the use of te DSM-IV-TR.
