Introduction to the field of School Psychology. Students consider the role of the school psychologist within an educational setting historically important events within the field; professional issues, consultation, referral, evaluation, classification and educational outcomes in the context of relevent federal and state rules and regulations; professional ethics and standards and re- sources available. Graded on a credit granted/no credit basis. Prereq:Matriculation in the school psychology program, an appropriate MA degree and permission of the coordinator.
