RCP 131 Respiratory Care Procedures II

(Contact Hours: 6) This course presents advanced lunch expansion techniques, bronchial hygiene therapies, diagnostic procedures, rehabilitation procedures, and home care. An introduction to non-invasive ventilation (NPPV), Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP), and high flow oxygen therapy will also be studied. Students will perform tracheostomy care, EKGs, and arterial blood gas collection procedures. PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of RCP 100, RCP 106, and RCP 107 is REQUIRED. Corequisite: RCP 132.
