EMT 248 Critical & Special Populations

(Contact Hours: 6) This course allows students to care for high acuity patients; obstetrical and neonatal patients, pediatrics, neurological and psychiatric encounters. Students are required to document patient encounters with specific focus on obstetrical, neonatal, and pediatric patients to meet the requirements of the National Registry of EMTs paramedic competency portfolio as required for exam eligibility. PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of EMT 134 and EMT 144 is REQUIRED. Corequisite: EMT 246 and EMT 254.
