UGR 379 Experiential Learning (6 cr.)

This supervised internship provides a significant experiential learning experience where students integrate their academic knowledge with practical application. It also provides an opportunity to improve career opportunities and to develop skills and core capabilities for success broadly in areas of public service. The emphasis of the course is on the synthesis of students’ classwork and guided observations and assignments at the placement site(s), reflecting a dual focus on academic and professional development. Students work at their assigned placement sites, attend class regularly, and must complete regular writing assignments. Students do a minimum of 180 hours in their field placements.
