Franciscan Studies Minor
Although all students of the University derive knowledge of and insight into St. Francis and his patrimony through the core curriculum and the unique vision for Catholic life embodied in the culture of Franciscan University, students who complete the Franciscan Studies Minor will deepen their understanding of the fundamental spiritual, intellectual, and cultural aspects of the Franciscan tradition from its inception in the thirteenth century to the present. This is accomplished through an enriching set of courses aimed at integrating history, theology, and philosophy as these disciplines have been touched and influenced by the Franciscan movement in the Catholic Church.
Course Requirements
This minor requires 18 credit hours (6 courses) of Franciscan Studies.
