Concentrations
Select twelve semester hours from one of the following concentrations: 12 sh
Statistical Methods in Natural Science
Students may select at most four semester hours at the 1000 level. If a 3 sh course has an accompanying 1 sh lab, this lab course must be taken with the course.
Statistical Methods in Social Science
Students may select at most one of the following courses counting toward the concentration: ANT 1120, ECO 1000, PHS 2010, POL 1110, PSY 1000, SOC 1110.
In addition to the requirements above, all graduating statistics majors are required to complete a senior portfolio of their work. This portfolio will include a compilation of their work across their four years of statistical study at Elon; therefore, students should be mindful of this requirement as they complete work for all their courses and be sure to retain electronic copies of work that they may want to include in their portfolio in their senior year.
