Program Outcomes

1. Students will interpret planetary and celestial motion using Kepler’s Laws and the celestial sphere.

2. Students will solve problems that involve gravitational and electromagnetic forces.

3. Students present a research plan and project with a poster or slideshow.

4. Students will become familiar with the basics of numerical analysis and image analysis.

5. Students will connect the basics of nuclear physics and radiation transfer to stellar structure and evolution.

Total Credit Hours: 67

 

Students earning a B.S. in Astrophysics cannot also earn a B.S. in Physics, an A.B. in Astronomy, an A.B. in Physics, or minor in Physics.
