DPT 6030 Human Anatomy I

Part I of a III module series, this course provides a comprehensive study of normal and pathological function of human movement with emphasis on the skeletal, articular, and muscular systems. Modules I & II address the thorax, abdomen, spine and upper extremities. Using a regional approach, the course includes the study of clinically relevant visceral anatomy and includes the use of radiographic and some histological studies as well as surface anatomy and clinical palpation. The laboratory experience includes the study of personally dissected as well as prosected human donors. In addition, there will be inter-professional opportunities with Physician Assistant students and faculty.
