Dining Services

Elon Dining offers a variety of dining options and meal plans for the Elon community.  Whether you choose to eat in the residential, all-you-care-to-eat locations, or in one of the many retail dining facilities, you can always find a meal option that fits your dietary needs.  Items made without gluten, vegetarian, and vegan – Elon Dining has it all!  The retail dining facilities include but are not limited to: Acorn, Argo Tea, Biscuitville, Fountain Market (Boar’s Head Deli), Einstein Bros. Bagels, Freshii, Java City, Pei Wei, Qdoba Mexican, Topio’s Pizza, and Village Juice.  The three residential all- you-care-to-eat dining locations are Clohan Hall (including GreenWorld at 1889), Lakeside Dining Hall and McEwen Dining Hall (re-opening Fall 2018).

Elon Dining offers two meal plan structures: All Access Meal Plans and Block Meal Plans. All Access Meal Plans grant unlimited access into the residential, all-you-care-to-eat dining facilities. The All Access +7 and All Access +14 also include a weekly allotment of Meal Exchanges which gives the option to purchase pre-set combo meals from on-campus retail dining locations.  All Access Meal plans also come with guest meals which can be used to treat a friend or family member to a meal on campus.  Block Meal Plans are a perfect fit for off-campus students, offering a yearly allotment of meal swipes that can be used for residential all-you-care-to-eat dining, as well as for Meal Exchanges at any of the on-campus retail dining locations.  Block Meal Plans provide ultimate flexibility and allow you to budget meals however you would like.

All Meal Plans come with Meal Dollars which are funds stored on the Phoenix Card that can be used in any on-campus retail or residential dining location.  Meal Dollars are perfect for purchasing snacks and add-ons to meal combos.  Meal Dollars cannot be used at Irazu.

Food Dollars function just like Meal Dollars, but they grant a 15% discount on purchases at Elon Dining locations.  Food Dollars are a great way to customize your meal plan based on individual eating habits: snacking, dining in casual restaurants, purchasing groceries on-campus, etc.  You can always supplement your Meal Plan with Food Dollars.  Food Dollars cannot be used at Irazu.

Please note: Meal plan requirements are based on academic standing and place of residency.  Students should refer to the dining services website or the Bursar’s office website for more information on these requirements.  Meal plan changes to an eligible plan are allowed through the second Tuesday of the fall/spring semesters.  Meal plan exemptions are infrequently granted, however those that are, are done with sufficient medical documentation illustrating a diagnosis or treatment plan that Elon Dining cannot reasonable support.  Please contact the Office of Auxiliary Services for more information on the meal plan change process.

Elon Dining has a Registered Dietitian on staff available for consults and tours to help familiarize the campus community with the healthy options offered throughout our dining locations.  Consults may be scheduled to discuss any allergens and special diets.  Our RD also hosts health and wellness events in order to provide further opportunity to increase knowledge and spread awareness.
