Campus Recreation and Wellness
Campus Recreation & Wellness provides quality recreational and educational experiences designed to positively impact the development of Elon students and contribute to the wellness of the campus community. Approximately 85% of Elon students participate in Campus Recreation & Wellness facilities and programs each year.
Campus Recreation & Wellness has several facilities throughout campus and offers the following opportunities for students to get involved, including:
- Koury Center, the primary indoor recreational facility with a fitness center, six-lane pool, basketball gym, racquetball courts, a squash court, exercise studios, an aromatherapy station, and locker rooms
- Workshops, presentations, and other events on various wellness topics led by SPARKS, our peer wellness educators
- More than 20 intramural sports
- 26 club sports
- Three fitness centers with strength equipment, cardio machines, and functional training spaces
- Approximately 30 group exercise classes per week
- Indoor and outdoor basketball and volleyball courts throughout campus
- A challenge course with low elements and a high ropes course, including a zip line
- Outdoor adventure trips
Additionally, Campus Recreation & Wellness is the largest employer on campus with more than 225 student employees working in a variety of roles, such as lifeguards, intramural sports officials, group exercise instructors, peer wellness educators, outdoor adventure trip leaders, facility assistants, and more. Flexible scheduling allows for students of all majors to become involved. Employment informational sessions are offered at the beginning of each semester for students interested in applying for a job in Campus Recreation.
