CSC 305 Introduction to Bioinformatics

 Introduces bioinformatics concepts, practices, and dogma of molecular biology. Topics include biological databases, sequence alignment, gene and protein structure prediction, molecular phylogenetics, genomics, and proteomics. Students will gain practical experience, collection and presentation of data, and rudiments of programming in Python and scripting languages.
