OT 6122 Research in Occupational Therapy II: Research Proposal Development
Second in a series of four courses. This course introduces students to the process of OT as a scholar and knowledge generator. Students work in small groups to develop and complete a research proposal for a faculty-directed research study. This course is designed to provide formal structure and support to develop a written research proposal. In this course, students will: research a specific topic; conduct and write a literature review, compose a problem statement and research question, design research methodology, and submit an Institutional Review Board (IRB) application. The course concludes with oral dissemination of proposal progress to solicit formative feedback from peers and faculty - 3 lecture hours. Prerequisite:
